Matt Gregory Wines
Matt makes English wines based on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Bacchus that he grows in the Leicestershire Wolds.
The emphasis is on careful grape handling, extended infusion macerations, and trying to do as little as possible in guiding the grapes into a delicious bottle of wine.
The Heretics
Gareth and Jimmy started The Heretics as a project to champion English wine. Their first grapes came from Essex, specifically the Crouch Valley, which is being heralded as the future for English still wine with ripeness levels higher than any other county in the UK. They work with the best growers and their focus will never stray from the top end of the quality spectrum. This has led to multiple listings in Michelin starred restaurants already so they must be doing something right.
Natalia Harris
Natalia Harris are a family-owned and run vineyard in Westfield, near Hastings, southeast England. The area is a beautiful setting of fields, woodlands, Roman iron ore mines, and of course now the vines. The farm is home to a range of animals, including Camber Castle flock of Southdown sheep and Hebridean rams. They strive to create a sustainable environment that is rich in wildlife, protects the soils, and enhances the quality of their vines.
Renegade Urban Wine
Renegade started making wine under a railway arch in Bethnal Green in 2016. London has been a centre of innovation, craft, production and quality food and drinks for a long time and, as such, it is fitting that Renegade are leading the charge on new wine styles and winemaking approaches, using both ancient and modern techniques. They make around 12-14 wines a year, from classical
styles with a twist to wines that are entirely unique.
Vines of Cheshire
Located just 3 miles from Chester and with sustainability at the core, Vines of Cheshire are producing exceptional still and sparkling wines. Situated on a steep south-west facing slope on glacial soils they have planted approximately 4 acres, 6000 vines - they're local to us in Cheshire and open for tours so why not visit them and see for yourself?
Maison Ventenac
Winemakers Stéphanie & Olivier Ramé, a husband-and-wife team, are the third generation of their family to run the show at Maison Ventenac. Their vineyards are in Cabardès, the only Languedoc appellation that allows both Atlantic and Mediterranean grape varieties, so offering a unique exploration of flavours. The winemaking philosophy is to allow their unique terroir to shine through in the wines, presenting them as naturally as possible and raising in tuns, terra cotta urns and concrete vats to enhance their purity.
Good Wines
Good Wines started with a simple mission: to make natural wine more accessible. Forget the ideas you have in your head of too fancy or too posh, they are all about great wine at great value, inclusive, unpretentious, and actually fun.
